Awesome beginner board

I purchased 2, one for my son, and one for me so we could both learn to solder. Those folks complaining about needing directions probably need operating instructions for a shovel. It's very straight forward... the picture shows you where everything needs to go. It's up to you to figure out whether you have the pieces oriented correctly. Certain things should be obvious, or at least cause you to ask questions. Like, why is one leg of the LED longer than the other? Or, why is one hole of the LED marked with a + and the other isnt? My son got 3 of the LED's backwards and those didn't light up... LESSON LEARNED! For less than $10, I wouldn't ask for more.

Good and nifty soldering practices

The media could not be loaded. Very cool little starter kit for getting into soldering. I did have to buy this twice after learning some lessons (ICs are in fact polar, dummy! Duh!) and loose LED solders. The second kit worked beautifully and is actually an interesting little gadget when you play around with it. Very happy. As mentioned elsewhere, awful instructions if you cannot read Chinese!

Not so tiny, but good practice

Nice item, decent price for the quality. It was fairly easy to assemble, but it wasn’t as small as the board I was going to solder, which meant I was slightly under-prepared. The actual board went well, and I’m sure working on this helped with that.

Buy a learning project somewhere else!

I wish I could leave 0 stars. No instructions ... Had to go off of just supplied photo. Put project together but only 3 LEDS lit up. The supplied battery holder was the worst! It was miss-shapen (batteries barely fit!), positive and negative wires were not secured, and if batteries were not NEW... the project did not function. ( I soldered a USB cable to board to solve power problem... It worked enough "ish" so I guess I learned something beneficial... But it still didn't work as described. ). Please don't buy... As someone learning a skill you should not be left wondering "Is it me? Or is this thing just faulty?". ...it is not you... It is just total crap.

It’s good for a beginner. It’s small and great quality and easy to solder together. The downside it that the instructions are difficult to follow and missing key details. Overall, for the price, it a good starter kit.
