I am a big fan of entrapreneur’s books of all ages and kinds. Love the idea of grabbing a young adult and getting them in this mindset. This book approached something new – intrapreneur. The book starts out with letting us know that we need to grow and adapt to new technology and tools in our society. (it offers AI prompts in the back for support – nice!) …I have to say that in reading through the TOC – I was impressed even with the titles of each. Innovative, creative and to the point. A few key phrases that stood out to me in reading were: not everyone actually wants improvement. Even leaders who say they do – delay, quiet resistance, present conditions… (paraphrased). I have found this to be true inside of the working system as well. The author says they are missing “passion.” Another phrase: “…showing up again and again, refining approaches, refusing to accept good enough when great is possible.” Motivating and self-challenging phrases to consider. I also liked the author’s section on “problems first, solutions later” – focuses on being clear, frame the problem specifically in order to unlock insight. I could probably go on and on….REALLY like this book. Thanks author!
This book is an innovative and practical resource for anyone trying to drive innovation within a rigid corporate environment. It doesn’t waste time with theory—instead, it delivers clear, actionable strategies rooted in real-world experience. Each of the 13 principles provides straightforward guidance on how to overcome resistance, foster collaboration, and establish a culture of continuous improvement without compromising structure. The tone is direct and motivating, especially for professionals stuck between big ideas and red tape. What makes this playbook particularly valuable is its balance of people-first leadership and results-driven methods. From aligning KPIs to leveraging digital tools, it’s designed for real impact.
This book offers very practical and insightful guidance for anyone interested in innovation within a corporate environment. The author clearly explains how to navigate internal resistance while still driving meaningful change. The examples are realistic and useful, making the concepts easy to understand and apply. It is a valuable read for professionals who want to think creatively, grow inside a company, and make a real impact.
This book is a must-read for anyone trying to innovate within a traditional or slow-moving organization. Andrew Lenti takes years of real-world experience and turns it into practical advice that intrapreneurs can actually use. What stood out to me is how clearly he explains the challenges, like breaking down silos, getting buy-in from middle management, and aligning strategy with measurable results and then provides straightforward steps to overcome them. The blend of people-focused leadership with smart process tools makes it both relatable and actionable. It reads less like theory and more like a guide from someone who has been there, faced the resistance, and found ways through. If you have ever felt stuck in bureaucracy but know your ideas can make a difference, this book gives you the framework and encouragement to push forward with confidence.
Stands out for its realistic perspective and deep understanding of corporate environments, offering practical tools for committed intrapreneurs. However, it feels overly long and repetitive, with ideas that could be more tightly condensed. A stronger synthesis and a more streamlined narrative would make its insights easier to absorb and apply.
