Sound if broad advice couched in a fun little comic! And I second the (very cute) author's recommendation of McMaster-Carr as a good starting source for almost anything related to making something cool!
If you are going to manufacture a product this book gives good, time saving, information on where to start and how to proceed when choosing a material.
I bought this on a whim. It was quick, fun read, and I learned some things! The book gives basic guidelines for choosing a plastic, and it explains what to do to work through issues a person might encounter. I like that the main character makes mistakes, and even when doing the right thing, he's frustrated with uncertainty and a lack of information. I can't wait for the sequel!
A great short read! I wasn't in dire need of the best material for some urgent project, but I had fun reading this and feel like now I have a great starting point in case I ever do! Everything is explained well with illustrations, and I like the characters!
Pros: Really cute comic book and arts. Very basic introduction. Cons: Finished the book in 5 minutes. Hate to say but the cost should be no more than $4
